I started as a Driver in the Markham yard where I was fortunate to have great people around me to mold and push me into different directions within Dufferin. After a year of driving I started to learn how to batch, which turned into a full time position in the Scarborough yard. Here I learned valuable knowledge from my peers.
I had the opportunity to be a plant supervisor at the Scarborough plant and then moved to the Markham plant.
As part of my development I spent 2 years as the dispatch supervisor before getting the opportunity to become a sales ops supervisor in Bradford and the North. I’ve spent the last 5 years in the northern area being part of a lot of great projects which helped me gain the knowledge to grow into my current role as the North Area Manager.”

From the moment our Ready Mix Drivers arrive at work, safety is the key to an efficient and productive work environment. Drivers start by ensuring their truck is in proper working condition performing a full circle check and addressing any major defects immediately.
Upon arrival at every jobsite our drivers establish communication with the customer to ensure their entrance into the site is safe with the help of a flag person. Our drivers provide superior customer service by working with the customer to ensure the product is to their specification and the job can be done safely and efficiently.
Drivers are expected to not only participate in the safety culture Dufferin Concrete believes in, but advocate for safe working conditions onsite with our customers. Our drivers are supported in their assessments of safe working conditions and encouraged to educate our customers in our safety programs.
As professionals on the road, Dufferin Concrete’s drivers continuously represent the Company’s high standard of safety and responsibility. From the Ready Mix plant to the jobsite and back, our drivers are trained in defensive driving – thinking about their safety but most importantly the safety of those on the road.
A Ready Mix driver is expected to be professional in their driving abilities but also in the quality of the product they are delivering, the cleanliness of their truck and helping in their yards with maintenance and housekeeping.
